Your Privacy Choices

How to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, how we honor Global Privacy Control, and how to ask to access, correct, or delete your information.

Make a privacy request

I want to

This document was prepared for review by a qualified attorney and may change before launch.

FoundRadar is a free, volunteer-run lost pet network. We never charge fees and never ask for payment. This page lets you control how your information is used. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell personal information for money. If you allow advertising cookies, the Google Ads conversion tag may send information about your visit to Google so we can measure our ads. Under California law, this may count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To opt out, switch Advertising off in the controls on this page. You can also switch Analytics off. Your choice is saved in the fr_consent cookie on this browser and device. If you clear your cookies or use another browser, set your choice again.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Advertising stays off while the signal is on. You do not need to do anything else.

Other quick choices

  • Close or delete your report: use the private manage link we emailed you.
  • Stop alert emails: use the unsubscribe link in any alert.

Request access, correction, or deletion

Use the request form on this page to ask us to:

  • Access: tell you what personal information we have about you, or send you a copy.
  • Correct: fix information that is wrong.
  • Delete: delete your personal information, including your reports, sighting messages, and alert subscriptions.
  • Opt out: stop any sale or sharing of your information.

In the form, choose the request type, give the email address you used with FoundRadar, and add any details that help us find your records, such as a report link. You can also write to the contact form at /contact.

We will confirm we received your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, we will tell you why, and we may take up to 45 more days. The service is free, and making a request is free.

How we verify requests

To protect your information, we confirm that the request comes from you. Usually we send a confirmation link to the email address connected to your report or subscription, and you click it. For access requests, we may ask a few more questions. We use what you give us only to verify your request. If we cannot verify you, we will explain why.

We may keep some information when the law allows or requires it, for example records of your request, or information needed to stop fraud and abuse. We will tell you if this applies.

Authorized agents

You can have an authorized agent make a request for you. The agent should use the same form and state that they are acting for you. We may ask the agent for your signed permission, and we may ask you to confirm your identity with us directly, unless the agent has a valid power of attorney.

Appeals

If we deny all or part of your request, you can appeal. Reply to our decision or write to the contact form at /contact with "Appeal" in the subject line. We will review the decision again and respond in writing within the time your state's law requires, usually 45 or 60 days. If you disagree with the result, you can contact your state attorney general.

No discrimination

We will not treat you differently or limit your use of FoundRadar because you used any of these rights.
